Kids' Zone

Zoo charactersFind out some interesting facts about life in Belfast Zoo with Kids' Zone, an educational series of games and quizzes.

Emer the lemur, Geri the giraffe, Brian the lion, Cecil the snake and Percy the penguin have produced three quizzes and three games for you to choose from.

The games and quizzes open in a new window. To return to the main zoo website, press X on the top right-hand corner of the game window.

The quizzes vary in difficulty and are ranked as easy, medium and hard.

They are based around the animals who live in the zoo and there are three answers to choose from per question.

You can also access the questions and answers to the quizzes as Word files.

If you want to play a game, you can choose from Hard Ball, Percy's Antarctic Run or Word Jumble.

In Hard Ball, Cecil the snake invites you to use your computer mouse to help him hit a football with his tail and improve your score each time.

In Percy's Antarctic Run, you can help Percy the penguin collect fish and avoid snowballs, while he tries to pick up golden hearts to give him energy.

And, in Word Jumble, Brian the lion needs your help to unscramble animal and zoo-related words.
