World tapir celebrations

28 and 29 April 2012

Gladys, the Malayan tapir.

"World Tapir Day" aims to raise awareness about the four species of tapir that inhabit Central and South America and South-East Asia. Each of the four species are in decline and face threats from hunting and from the destruction of their habitat.

Come along to our 'world tapir' celebrations on 28 and 29 April.

Visit the tapirs at feeding time to learn more about Malayan tapirs.

You can also enter our competition to be in with the chance of winning a very special prize!
