All our catering facilities are operated by Kylemore Catering.

The Treetop Tearoom

The Treetop Tearoom is located at the very top of our Cave Hill site. It is the perfect spot to stop for a snack* and a refreshing drink, while you admire the panoramic views of Belfast Lough as well as Bora and Indera, the Malayan sun bears.

The Treetop Tearoom is temporarily closed for maintenance. You can still get light snacks in the Lion’s Den Restaurant, open daily from 10am to 4pm.

Debit and credit card facilities are available.

*Please be aware that this facility does not provide hot food.

Grab a BITE to eat

We have vending machines available in the visitor centre. You can buy drinks, confectionery and crisps before you begin your Belfast Zoo adventure.

Picnic lunches

Bringing a group to the zoo? Why not pre-book your picnic lunch?

A child lunch bag costs £4.95 and includes:

  • a freshly made sandwich
  • a bag of crisps or a piece of fruit
  • a carton of juice.

An adult lunch bag costs £5.95 and includes:

  • a deep filled sandwich
  • a bag of crisps or a piece of fruit
  • tea, coffee or a bottle of water.

The Lion's Den Restaurant, Percy's Pit Stop and the ice cream van are closed from October until the end of March.

Belfast Zoo is home to over 1,000 animals and more than 150 different species.

The majority of our animals are in danger in their natural habitat.
