We're now home to one of Northern Ireland's most iconic native species, the red squirrel. Taisie, Shesk and Oisin arrived at Belfast Zoo from the Glens of Antrim in 2012 and have moved into 'red squirrel nook', a new interactive and educational exhibit. We are working closely with the Northern Ireland Squirrel Forum and these three animals will form the first NI breeding project for this species.
