Are you interested in learning about extinction in a unique learning environment?

We have the perfect mix of educational and hands on learning on offer with our extinction workshops for the Northern Ireland Science Festival.

For just £25 per ticket participants will get a unique learning workshop based in Belfast Zoo, a goodie bag and a completion certificate! This year’s extinction workshop will be focused on elephants, Here at the zoo, we currently have two elephants, Yhetto and Dhunja.

During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the extinction threats facing these magnificent creatures, the conservation efforts of zoos and an insight into how we care for our elephants at Belfast Zoo. The workshop will have educational talks from our zookeepers, curators and veterinary experts. You will also have the chance to get involved in some hands on activates and see some behind the scenes areas of Belfast Zoo.

The workshops will be running on 15 February and 22 February, £25 secures you a spot on one of the days. The workshop will run from approximately 9.15am - 2.15pm.
