Hatch a plan to visit the zoo this Easter for a ‘zooper’ day out.
We are getting ready for an egg-stra special Easter with a host of great activities and prizes to be won!
Children can go on a fun Easter Trail around the Zoo to find out more about some of our baby animals, bunnies and which animals lay eggs.
Tag along on one of our Easter walking tours on Friday 10, Saturday 18 or Sunday 19 April. Join our Zoo Crew as they offer insight into some of our animals with engaging stories, interesting facts and observations.
On Saturday 11 April and Thursday 16 April little paws can get busy with our crafts and touch tables to keep them occupied.
On Easter Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, visitors can go on a fun Easter Trail around the Zoo to find out more about some of our baby animals, bunnies and which animals lay eggs. All completed trails will be entered into a prize draw to win “zooper” prizes!
On Wednesday 15 April visitors can paint boiled eggs which will then be given to some of the animals as part of our extra-special Easter-themed enrichment programme.
On Friday 17 April Belfast Zoo opens its doors to the Zoo Explorers’ Club, where seven to 11 year olds can explore the wonderful world of wildlife through a unique one-day programme in the zoo.
Zoom around the site on the hop on hop off Zoo-mobile through the week and visit your favourite animals at feeding times and meet the keeper at daily talks to find out more about the species the zoo cares for.
Pose with our animal mascots for a seasonal selfie and visit our photography basecamp for a special memento, and pick up a perfect present in the Zoovenir Shop!
Our catering is now under new management, Ability Café. With kids’ meal deals starting at £3.95, to freshly prepared sandwiches and salads, they have plenty to ward off even the hungriest of bears!
Normal admission prices apply.
Belfast Zoo’s car park usually gets filled up very quickly over Easter. We encourage visitors to make the most of public transport. Click here

Belfast Zoo’s admission and cafes often experience longer queuing times over Easter. We encourage visitors to be patient during this busy time and be respectful of queuing systems and other visitors.
