Storm Ali causes zoo closure

Date: 18 Sep 2018

Belfast Zoo

Belfast Zoo will be closed on Wednesday 19 September 2018 due to the weather conditions caused by Storm Ali.

An amber weather warning is in place across Northern Ireland.

For safety reasons, the decision has been made to close the site.

Zoo staff will remain onsite, as normal, to care for the 130 species that live at Belfast Zoo. The animals do have access to centrally heated indoor housing so they will stay safe and warm during the storm.

Anyone who has bought an online ticket should contact the zoo directly on 028 9077 6277 for more information.

If you are planning to visit over the next few days, please call us on 028 9077 6277, before you begin your journey, for up-to-date information.
