Belfast Zoo will be hosting our annual invite only charity event, Dreamnight, on Friday 7 June 2019 from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.
Last admission to the zoo on Friday 7 June will be at 2.30pm and the zoo closure will be at 4pm.
Dreamnight is a special annual invite only charity event held at Belfast Zoo for chronically ill children and their families. Belfast Zoo allocate tickets for 310 families (approximately 1550 visitors) which are sent to Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children, the Royal Victoria Hospital for Sick Children and the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice for distribution.
Dreamnight is an extremely unique charity event as it provides all of the families involved the opportunity to enjoy themselves and feel safe in a fun filled environment surrounded by zoo life. Children and their families will be able to enjoy a range of free snacks and activities from the kind donations of local businesses across Northern Ireland, Belfast Zoo will also be running a range of animal themed activities for the event. Zoo Manager, Alyn Cairns, said ‘We are delighted and extremely grateful for the kind donations and support we receive from organisations and individuals year after year for our annual Dreamnight event. It is amazing to see everyone come together and donate to the event, we would like to thank everyone for their kind donations and continued support of Dreamnight. We cannot wait to make this Dreamnight the best one yet!’
The event is organised in partnership with the Police Service Northern Ireland (PSNI). The Belfast City Council Lord Mayor will officially attend and open the event.
