Adventurers’ Learning Centre
Adventurers’ can jump on board to cross crocodile creek, tunnel through meerkat mound or slither to snake island at the zoo’s play area, the Adventurers’ Learning Centre.
This exciting new £430,000 family visitor attraction replaces the old playground. £215,000 was provided through Belfast City Council's Investment Programme for the city. The project was also part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, under the European Sustainable Competitiveness Programme for Northern Ireland, and administered by Tourism NI. Tourism NI is the trading name of the Northern Ireland Tourist Board.

Photography base camp
Located at the back of the visitor centre our photography base camp kicks off your visit. You can walk on the wild side by posing with a pride of lions or with our closest living relatives, the chimpanzees and gorillas.
Where to eat
Our zoo boasts two café's offering a range of hot and cold food, snacks and drinks. The Lion's Den Restaurant and The Treetop Tearoom provide a variety of food and stunning views. We can also organise a picnic lunch for you with perfect views over Belfast from our picnic areas.
